Quarry Bank Mill

Last weekend I ventured out to the beautiful Cheshire countryside to visit Quarry Bank Mill. I remember visiting the mill in primary school many years ago and had never been back since. With the sun shining and my national trust card in hand we took a road trip out to the industrial heritage site. The gardens are really calming and serene. Inside the mill you get an insight into how the mill operated and the machines used to manufacture the cotton.

I'd highly recommend a visit if you live in the area or within driving distance. It wasn't ever somewhere at the top of my visit list, but i'm really glad we decided to take the trip out there.
